Justin's Scrapbook for 2007

I make yearly scrapbooks of each my three kits. Through the end of 2006 I printed my 8.5X11 pages at home and put them into albums. Starting in 2007 my goal was to save all the layouts and have them professionally printed into a hard cover books. I had looked all over scouting out quality and prices and kept coming back to a company called Viovio! However their website isn't the easiest to navigate and made me a bit nervous. Recently Heidi Lentz showed a book she had made from Viovio! on her blog and Heidi gave me the confidence to go ahead and give it a try.
I have to tell you that I am thrilled with the results. I only had one book made to start. Justin's book had 130 pages and I went with the 8.5X11 satin paper, hardcover option and spent a little extra for the pro binding option. I placed my order on March 6th and was told they would ship by March 28th, which is the day the book arrived in perfect condition on my doorstep. (the pro binding option takes a bit longer than the regular binding option) When I placed my order the consumer service department contacted me regarding a couple of questions they had and made sure my order was exactly what I wanted. Now if you have priced out printing a home or professional services you know that it can get a little pricey. I am thrilled to say this 130 page book only cost $59.18 and that includes the shipping!
I can not wait to order Megan and Kyle's books. I decided to give the square format for my scrap pages a try for my 2008 books and Viovio! does those as well. If you prefer they also do softcover books and books of all different sizes. Once you read through all the instructions and practice a bit you can navigate through the Viovio website and their process for creating your professionally bound books. All the pages I made were created on my own using Paint Sho Pro and saved as JPGS and eventually uploaded onto Viovio's website. ( Viovio and I both recommend compressing your photos or pages for uploading....it made the process MUCH faster and I was able to then upload multiple pages fairly quickly.) I was even able to create my own covers (see the top photo). The other three photos at the top show a few of the layouts in Justin's books. You even choose the wording for the spine.
Justin was thrilled when he saw his book and thought it was much cooler than the previous albums I had made. He loved the cover especially!
